Friends, for those of you on my email list, you’ll know this is a long time coming. I’ve been working on my new album, Treasures & Time Travel, for quite a long time… Initially I thought I’d be finished by Fall 2017; then by Feb 2018, then by June… but some things just won’t be rushed: they take their time, giving us an opportunity to fully realize what we’re doing, why we’re doing it, and how we can do it right.
Now my project is almost complete! The songs are almost all mixed, the artwork will be done soon… and then off to production! So, to celebrate, I’ll be having a full band CD Release Show at Evanston SPACE, one of the finest music venues in the Chicagoland area!
The show will be Sunday, September 23rd, from 1pm to 3pm — late enough so’s you won’t have to wake up too early, early enough so’s you can still go to your evening plans! My full band includes the illustrious John Abbey on bass, Bob Long on keys, Jordi Klieiner on violin, and Meg Thomas on percussion — all of them play on my album as well! There will be other special musical guests, too. More details soon!
** Update: The link to read more about the show and buy tix is now up on SPACE’s site: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/sue-fink-album-release-show-tickets-47473856583 Woo hoo! 🙂
I hope you’ll celebrate with me on 9/23! My last full-length solo album, Thoughts at an Intersection, was released in 2009, so as you can see, I don’t do this too often! Don’t wait another 9 years for the next one; come help me celebrate this one! 🙂 More on the CD itself, and show info, in the posts to come. Or, please consider joining my (mostly monthly) newsletter, where you’ll receive timely info and other fun stuff!
