Chicago-area friends:  I am so excited about this show that I’m learning how to blog, just to tell you more about it! 🙂

Sometimes it’s easy to forget that we’re only a tiny part of this vast and beautiful universe. We singer/songwriters will sing our (mostly) original songs that celebrate the wonder found in our infinite universe, way beyond the every-day issues.

This is a 3-way benefit show:

  • GLOBALLY(/Nationally): Your $10+ suggested donation, either cash or checks made out to “GlobalGiving,” will benefit those suffering disasters (hurricanes, etc.), either in the USA or internationally (we’ll have several projects to choose from, or you can choose “general”). GlobalGiving has been vetted by Charity Navigator, and effectively meets the needs of people going through various disasters;
  • LOCALLY: Donations of new socks (adult) and/or bottled water benefit patrons of Dignity Diner;
  • UNIVERSALLY: Raising our voices against the darkness, and considering the wonders of the universe, benefits us ALL.

PERFORMERS, in alphabetic order:
* Louis Bardales
* Andrew Calhoun
* Steve Dawson
* Amy Dixon-Kolar
* Patti Ecker
* Robinlee Garber
* Jane Godfrey
* Charles Hurt (aka Charles Murphy)
* Rebecca Jasso

It’s the Saturday after Thanksgiving. What could be better than to share music & inspiration, and do good for others as well!

P.S. The venue, Holy Covenant United Methodist Church, is directly across the street from the Brown Line Diversey El stop. (It’s where we held last year’s “Hymns by Hers” benefit, and where the Elevated Songwriter Series takes place, too.) If driving, it’s street parking, mostly metered… it *may* be easier to find parking because it’s a holiday weekend, but I’d still leave time to find a space. Also: Inexpensive restaurants abound in the area, should you desire to dine nearby!

P.S.S. All donations, $$ and goods, will be collected at the door. THANKS!!  We really hope to see you there. 🙂
